Now that the SVR is about to resume normal service, have the running dates for 2008 been agreed yet?

Regards,

Paul

The proposed running dates have been given to the diesel groups for final agreement.
Once formalised i'm sure D1013 will post the confirmed dates.

Weather lousy in Bristol on Weds morning and not sure of forecast.

Is D1013 out on saturday as planned on the B service?

See you there.

I have a number of old Courier mags (not the very old ones) if anyone wants a small carrier bagful. If you do email to D1010@msn.com

Am keeping a few old ones from when i was Chairman all those years ago - need to have a look to see what we were up to then.

The WLA has come so far since those dim and distant days. Well done to all for the continuing hard work!!

If anyone is unsure about coming to the Valley on 12 july (this Saturday) then come! Last running day was superb. Will be good to see lots of old friends there.

I had also heard a rumour that Derek Wright was rostered to drive but have had no confirmation.

Please note that D1062 is currently undergoing its repaint at Kidderminster, with the bodywork preparation now well underway. Once the repaint has been completed (due end of July 2008), the locomotive will be brought back to Bridgnorth MPD to complete a number of outstanding jobs and also, to have an annual FTR exam. All being well, the locomotive is expected to have its first run on a passenger train following overhaul on Saturday, 16th August 2008. Although this is our normal running day, it will of course, be a running day with a difference!

Obviously, it would be great to see as many people as possible on the day, so please pass the word around!

Fantastic news that it is getting so close for D1062. Fingers crossed that the painting does all progress on time and that all goes well with those final jobs and the FTR exam.

It is a must for all of us to try to be there and to bring others to see what has been achieved.

The sheer amount of work put in by all the working members is great and everything i have seen as it has gone along points to a first class job. Guys I hope you do realise how much all your efforts are appreciated.

Let's hope 16 august gives you a day to be really and rightfully proud
