We are returning this year to the Birmingham and Midland Institute for our AGM. This venue is only a short walk from New Street and Snow Hill stations and there is ample parking above Snow Hill in the Livery Street car park.
There are two vacancies on the committee.
Firstly, the role of treasurer and secondly, the role of publicity officer.
The Treasurers job involves looking after the finances of the Association and making sure that the money is properly accounted for. It requires some financial knowledge and you would have to prepare basic accounts.
The publicity officer has to liase with the various railway publications and to keep them up to date with developments with our locomotives.
Finally, we have one nomination for the post of assistant sales officer namely John Glover.
If you are interested in joining the committee, then please feel free to speak to either Roger or Henry to discuss your thoughts. The committee meet three times a year in Bristol. The meetings are enjoyable and informative.
We are delighted to announce that Keith Bullock has kindly agreed to provide a film show after the main business has been concluded. This should be at about 2.30pm.
Keith used to work for British Transport Films and so has a collection of very interesting and historic archive films to show us.
Latterly, Keith has become involved with our friends at the Diesel Traction Group who of course own and operate Western Champion.
You can be assured of an interesting afternoon!
