Doug Tompkins, who has been the WLA's Publicity Officer after some 25 years, will be stepping down at the next AGM on 10th November. We would like to thanks Doug for all his support over the years and very much hope that he will remain as a member and carry on supporting our running days etc. A vacancy will therefore, arise for a Publicity Officer if anyone would like to volunteer?!

What sort of things would this post entail?

Please forgive me for having a grand total of 3 days here, and an even grander total of 3 posts, but, I have seen that the officer has probably gone by now and there's been no replies. Obviously, this might have been resolved since. However, I am a graphic designer/desk top publisher by trade and up to a point - stressing up to a point - I can do certain things for publicity to assist the new person.

I don't want to come across as one of those new members that join sites and start making waves, but would I be any good to assist in some way? I have been working in Photoshop recently and come up with this which might be of some good somewhere down the line - it's low quality on screen of course but does print out that bit better and look better at a larger size. Clicking to see it will give you the proper proportions as it looks distorted at first glance.
